Just beautiful press and awesome artwork.
loud mix/master as it is supposed to be for this kind of hyper-compressed style.
My Tycho's favorite. -
I have the same experience as foxorian. Incredibly high noise floor, as in white noise. Awake, Montana, and Plains have an especially difficult time tracking as well.
My other Tycho records I got in the same package (straight from his website) play great. Hopefully this is just a bad pressing; I've been going nuts trying to figure out what's wrong with my turntable!
But moving past the (hopefully) bad pressing here, this is has gotta be one of my top 5 all time favorite albums. (I've been listening to the FLAC's) -
Tycho has some of the best design for album art ever. Too bad I couldn't get the beige vinyl release, but ah well. Oddly my copy has usually high surface noise -- easily the loudest record I own. Still easily listenable, though. Worth getting.
