Mine is an og Santa Maria press. Has a comic book that dates 1977??? Pretty beat vinyl and sounds incredible. 2 deep scratches all the way across side 2 and only skips once at end track 4. Don't see any mention of the comic
-
My copy looks awful, but it sounds incredible on my turntable. Much like an RVG Blue Note, this album shines bright even if it’s only a G or F grade visually. I highly recommend this pressing.

Edited one year agoFound my copy on the floor of an opportunity village. I happened to look down and see it under my shoe. It plays with no problem and once it went through my buddy’s deep cleaner, sounded brand new. An incredible find, get this pressing if you can
-
Classic. Give it up. My copy looks like the Variant 3 version. Weirdly, the Album title and song titles are not shown on side 2.

Parliament/Funkadelic mixes and mastering are all over the place over the years. This master and pressing of Mothership Connection is one of the best-sounding P-Funk albums out there. Good, clean bottom end, controlled midrange, and crisp treble the whole way through. Good separation, no mud, no smearing.
