Notes

Comes in a dual pocket gatefold jacket with plain white poly-lined inner sleeves. Hype sticker on the front of the shrink-wrap. The gatefold interior includes excerpts from various publications about the performance. Nothing on the release identifies it as a Record Store Day title.

Producers Note: The original release of this historic Mingus performance, though labeled "Balanced Stereo," was actually recorded
and issued in mono. For this definitive remaster, we worked exclusively from original full-track mono tape sources discovered in the archives.

My copy sounds great. I was just bummed when “A Train” on side 1 stopped so abruptly. Otherwise, in my opinion a solid release.

Is this album typically hot in the highs? My copy, A/B sides have a lot of distortion in the highs. Anyone else?
