Do not have an original to compare but great pressing . I bought this for my woman :) and she loves it. I agree to be played loud

Weird, I have the “262313E” runout as mentioned on this entry.
But I have this one's cover: https://discogs.versitio.com/release/28708405-Funkadelic-Maggot-Brain
Just so others know, you might not get an orange record but a black one when ordering. -
For the uninitiated, imagine Zappa, Zeppelin, Hendrix and Sly & The Family Stone having a baby. Also, this album must be played loud. The louder you play it, the better it gets. This pressing sounds really good, way better than the old Westbound CD I used to have. Excellent drum sound throughout, and a wide, full-bodied soundstage. I picked up on things during "Wars Of Armageddon" that I'd never noticed before. My copy was purchased new and as others have mentioned, that vinyl is entrenched inside the inner sleeve, takes a good firm tug to get it to worm its way out. But it plays beautifully after a wipedown, with zero surface noise.

I have heard several presses of this record, and this 2023 EU press sounds great. That bit of airy noise is on every press I’ve heard. Pretty sure it comes from the cranked up guitar. Most o.g. Copies of this have been played out. It was a popular party record. But in my opinion, for price and availability, this copy is your best bet. Sounds great on my Rega system.

Record was very dirty when I took it out, was scared of scratching it because of how tight the static was holding it in the sleeve, I did vacuum clean it afterwards and it turned out pretty good (still has the regular noise on first track)
