very disappointing. I love them
both and I was really excited for this but this pressing sucks. does not sound good. might only look cool because of the picture -
Edited 4 years agoYou know I don't care of what think people they took any occasion to talk bad of Morrissey and I don't care if is not a memorable live version of the two. It's like a selfie took with affection at that time and just that is a great human thing. Before or after what happened no matters. Be safe in this terrible moment life is short and keep your hate or anger for real important things. Don't look back in anger.

Travesty. I got half way through it and lifted the needle. I suppose i could say for the fans only but that would be me and i dont think this slab of wasted vinyl will ever see the face of the turntable again.
Morrisey in his messed up head probably believes he should have been the headline act with Bowie ing.
The older he gets the worse he gets and for the love of decency somone please tell him to keep the shirt on!

Back when Morrissey had that alterna-cool mystique around the time of the Smiths and early solo material, the guy was basically golden-Bona Drag is a near perfect comp.Viva Hate, and Kill Uncle are classics...it seems that time, and the need to keep the money moving.,this release.I thought posing nude was a low. This is the lowest-releasing a poor duet with someone he fell out with. The cover photo seems like he's annoyed by David Bowies' presence. The billing Morrissey and David Bowie is appaling--at least reverse it to show some respect for a legend who ed as a legend.I'm afraid Morrissey will be ed as an elitist who hasn't made a good record since the mid nineties....truly dissapointed..and truly desperate!

Edited 4 years agoAs everyone knows, Morrissey and Bowie became very close friends during their 1991 t tour. A friendship that would not last long, however. Morrissey soon left the tour. I don't think anyone was waiting for this release. Wasted energy if you ask me. Forget it.
That friend thing I mentioned was ironic, just in case ... -
Should be noted that Parlophone – 0190295142254 is the barcode, not a Cat No. and shouldn't be logged as such

His cover of “That’s Entertainment” is just so missing the point. Sentimental nonsense in his interpretation. The whole point about that song is it must be delivered off the cuff and not become cloying. The A-side? You can’t really ruin a T-Rex song.

Certainly not the best performance but the people who are complaining about it had the chance to preview the track nearly 4 months in advance of this release when it was made available digitally and on YouTube. They already knew what they were getting into when they ordered it.
I'm actually hoping the full recording gets released as I was at the show. Alternatively, I hope the Pacific Amphitheater show from the same tour (where the live version of "Trash" was used as the b-side of the 2010 re-release of Every Day Is Like Sunday) is also released.
