It's OK. Certainly not essential, even for fans. The alternative "Shadow Man" and the live tracks with Slicky are highlights (even though Bowie's voice is shot). These could/should have been on Re:Call 5, which has a lot of lesser filler. -
Edited 3 years agoI really like this! I don’t have the box set and am not sure I will acquire it. But this EP is wonderful. Love the production.

A nice little companion to the TOY box set from earlier this year. For hardcore fans and for those who loved that album, this features some lovely extra recordings, but there’s nothing really new here. It sounds great though, and I like that they stuck with the exact same design as the contents of the aforementioned box set. -
Shadow Man is beautiful. Really superb. This 10” is really just a bit of a cash in, we’ll all say it, but overall this is a nice record.
