I see on my vinyl (on label) track A6 Savage by Lennox/Stewart like on https://discogs.versitio.com/release/17332375-Eurythmics-Savage, but on this photos I see Lennox/Lennox.
I have copy with poster and sticker like here -
It's weird that the 2005 cd remaster, which is frankly a compressed abomination, seems to have increased in value, while the original cd with its fabulous high DR range of this tremendous album is going en masse for two bucks. If you're shopping, go for the original cd; no need for vinyl in this instance.

Savage is for me one of the more brilliant of the latter Eurythmics' albums. With Savage the rock element of the previous two albums (Revenge and Be Yourself Tonight) seems to have been toned down and it heralds a welcome return to Eurythmics' unique indie pop sound, perhaps with a bit more maturity, but they were always fully formed. With their trademark sarcasm and glamour, Savage is covered in high-end pop production.
The easiest place to start comment is my least favourite track: I Need a Man. I don't get this track, maybe I am missing the humour in it. It would have been better on the previous two albums. I wish the album's title track Savage was made a single in its place. It would have been great fun to have a radically revised 12" dance mix of Savage.
There are many strong tracks, You Have Placed a Chill is a fierce indictment to the 'savageness' of love, its cheapness, its power to devastate and leave you in the desert. It's well worth getting the 12" version of this single to hear Annie sing it acoustically. Whatever torments Annie may have gone through, she can certainly sing this song with ion. This song can be heard as a final reckoning on love. And then Brand New Day, as the last track, shows that nothing really ends; it's a cheerful, upbeat song full of sparkle and hope for whatever comes next.
Finally a note on the cover artwork for this album AND the three singles. It is all brilliantly cohesive as a theme; bringing all the work from the album together. (There must have been a strong art director for this album?). With this album's artwork Annie is portrayed as a female object to the extreme. Look at all the details, her long, perfectly manicured fingernails (vicious), her heavy make up, the wig, the dress and the torn stockings. The setting of the Louis 14th sofa in that palace (?). She seems to portray an ornament to some kind of aristocratic (Man?). Does she need a man?
Does she need a man? Well, for the answer to that question, look at the image of the next album We too Are One - David Stewart is well positioned in the background. Annie is strongly dominant in the foreground. Also Annie is made up, but she is clearly and strongly herself. What is this transformation? Annie then went into her solo musical career, became Diva, started charity work, etc.
