Def Leppard – Hysteria

I recall listening to this in our new home in 1987 and, knowing diddly squat about vinyl quality and mastering engineers at the time, asking myself why the darn thing sounded so good: Bob Ludwig and Howie Weinberg, thank you and hats off-- and oh, the lads in the band too. :-).

Japanese pressings are will regarded for all round quality and his is no different.
Tough to find but well worth seeking out. Beautifully mastered and no compression evident despite the +30 mins each side.

I always thought Hysteria should be on a double pressing on its release, this new double edition realised my expectations in that it sounds much less compressed and is allowed to be heard in its full glory at last - buy and enjoy, perfect copy no pressing issues, will keep you fit too having to get up and change 4 sides...all good! :-)

Agree with the others on how excellent this sounds. I see some saying "how"? Mastered by Bob Ludwig. There's your answer :)

Disappointed. I understand the use of stock pictures, but when the pictures include a sticker that is not typical of the record nor on the item received, I feel that is misleading. This was a Christmas present for my boss, and I was excited that this one had a Kmart sticker on the cellophane pictured and there was one right down the street from him growing up. below is the response i received.

As an uninformed buyer, I guess this one is one me, but I will never be buying from this seller. Never had this issue with any other seller on the site.

Excellent sound and pressing quality all round, highly recommended product, this album should have been a double all along, well done Phonogram.

This 16-bit reissue (likely a 2018 remaster) sounds great. The clarity, dynamics, and mix are perfect. I probably play this much louder than I should ;)
