Anyone know the source lineage for this? MOV doesn't always make it obvious whether or not they are using an analog or digital master. Thanks in advance!! :) -
Perfect pressing : flat and centered, sounds awsome warm and clear, perfect cut without distorsion in heavy parts. Good job Music On Vinyl.

Edited 2 years agoGreat release and pressure. The stage is wide, the balance is even. I'm new to jazz, so some tracks are still difficult for me to understand, but in general, I enjoyed listening to the sound with headphones and external acoustics. In pauses and quiet places, you can hear the noise of the master tape. The mass is quiet, the disks are flat, there are no clicks.
The envelope (sleeve) is of good quality, the colors are expressive, the pattern is clear. The inner envelopes are ordinary with antistatic. In general, the cover, discs and content are excellent: 5 out of 5.

Alright. This pressing has its moments, but both the bass and the treble is louder than they should be. The treble especially is way too loud, and sounds distorted and nasty, and it forces you to turn the volume down. They EQ’d it like a MoFi release. They shouldn’t have.

I ordered this via Amazon...the first was warped and went back, the second is also warped and will also go back. Not sure if the pressing was bad or if Amazon stores them wrong...I have heard both as issues in the past... Good that Amazon has a great costumer service! Too bad, would have like this record to be in my collection!

Great release. Good vinyl and great remastering job. The original edit by Macero on side 1 remains terrible killing all momentum with an obvious and unnatural cut. Just cannot believe they did that. The rest is incredible and any further edits are hard to detect. -
This 2016 pressing by Music On Vinyl is the one. Absolutely a masterpiece elevated to status of art. Superb remastering with dynamic sound qualities. Sounds like you're in the studio with Miles. 'Live Evil' is a head trip; mind blowing jazz fusion from early 1970, following the revolutionary classic Bitches Brew. Miles leads an all star line-up including John McLaughlin, Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea, Airto and Wayne Shorter. Holy hell, it's Miles at his peak. -
excellent pressing, this is my go to version now.
the Legacy CD sounded disted but this version is great, despite the various sources used to compile this album it sounds cohesive
