At first, I thought this could be a good copy, despite being pressed at URP. Then, my stylus hit a weird tiny scuff on side two that made noise for several es and once again provided a reminder of why URP isn't a great place to press vinyl.

Edited 6 years agoGary Bartz did an interview which finally cleared up the mystery of the final track
Its a band recording made from the stage by either Gary, Keith or Jack sometime in 1971.
Miles heard them playing it on the tour bus, and liked what he heard so much that he took the tape to Teo Macero who was putting together the album and asked him to include it on the album.
on some reissues this segment has been smothered in noise reduction but the MOV LP 1483 sounds excellent
its a tribute to Miles that he spotted the value of this piece of live music for what it was and wasn't hung up on the rough nature of the recording.
and its a tribute to Teo that he skillfully wove it into the fabric of the album.
