As a collection of remixes by and of the Cinematic Orchestra, <I>Remixes 98-2000</I> shows the diversity of sound that they can take. Their remixes of Faze Action’s “Moving Cities” and Nils Petter Molvaer’s “Vilderness” wouldn’t be out of place on their darkly beautiful album <I>Motion</I>, while Kenji Eno’s “The Fear Theme” is a jaunty number out of a comic spy movie. Les Gammas also get a moody makeover. You can definitely hear the Cinematic Orchestra solidifying their sound… another impressive body of work.
