Bought used from my LRS as VG+ and my copy is nearly silent. That being said, it sounds great. Had to turn it up a bit but it really does sound good given this is not an audiophile recording. I agree with some of the other reviews here, the percussion really jumps out in particular. I checked the runout matrix and it matches the 2005 AAA Kevin Gray cut. Certainly sounds like it too. Just wish they would've just stuck with black vinyl.

My copy has the side 2 sticker on both sides. Has anyone ran into that issue as well? Other than that no warping and this album sounds great!

Edited one year agoThe mastering is great. I have two copies though, and both have a weird defect in the vinyl on side A that makes a sorted of muted warbling noise that I have never heard before. Both copies are also quite noisy even after extensive cleaning on my VPI, and had a lot of excess wax around the spindle hold that needed to be trimmed to fit on the spindle. Guess I got unlucky twice.

Vinyl flat and quiet…I have the UK Big Bear 1st pressing and it’s my preferred one, but this cut sounds marvelous. Fantastic job by Kevin Gray…

Sounds really nice on my system (Seeburg HSC-1 Console) cannot complain not compare to other pressings, but I will say this is one of the albums I pull out when I want to show people how good vinyl can sound.

Amazing pressing! Bought mine used so I will assume the occasional pops and clicks are because of it being used. The packaging is good quality and the disc looks beautiful, the shade of purple is pretty and the marbling turned out great! There is some slight warping on side A but Side B is mostly flat. The mastering on this is incredible, very punchy and crisp and clear and detailed. As others have noticed, the first few minutes of the album are rather low volume before the volume boosts suddenly during War Pigs but it’s not a huge issue. Overall love this pressing!
