Notes
This version has different labels to release The Who - Who's Next
- labels have the Side 1 tracks in 3 lines and the Side 2 tracks in 2 lines, as opposed to 4 lines and 3 lines. Also minor variations in text placing.
Sleeve printed and made by MacNeill Press Ltd., London, S.E.1.
Made in Gt.Britain.
Some sleeves have "Pleated or pinched spine": two pleats running for 1/2" (12.5mm) from top down and bottom up.
Some copies contain the "Head Hunters" inner sleeve (see pic). This inner was present on few copies only, mostly of them do not have it. HOWEVER IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE:- that copies with the Headhunters inner sleeve are re-pressings. Mainly for 2 reasons. Firstly the HeadHunters inner features LPs released 1 month later than this LP. And secondly this LP is already listed as 'available' on the inner - which means that this LP was already released when this Headhunters inner sleeve was concieved. Therefore any copies with the Headhunters inner sleeve will date from late September/October 1971 - at least 1 or 2 months after the release date. This inner DEFINITELY DID NOT EXIST at the time of this LPs release.
Recorded and mixed at Olympic Studios, London
B4 recorded at Stargroves and mixed at Island Studios, London.
Published by Fabulous Music, except B4 published by Wistle Rhymes.
Marketed by Polydor.

Edited one year agoHi All,
Hoping someone can help as I'm a bit confused.
I have this record and have the runouts as per below but they don't match any of the variants listed for this version but this version is the closest I can find (I am 100% certain of the runouts as I have a 40x light up hand held microscope and am happy to email you close up/magnified pics of the runouts if it would help)
A: 2408102 A//1 12 2 MG 12888 (MG12888 is etched)
B 2408102 B//2 ∇ 4 20 1213 04
The pictures on this listing (labels & sleeve) match mine exactly (although my inner is a plain white one)
All the things mentioned in the notes for this listing match mine
What do you think?
Am I wrong in listing this one as mine?
Can anyone point me to a different listing that better matches mine?
Appreciate any help.

by the catlog number this should be the very first uk pressing wich was released by track records and it was included in what was called the headhunter series, that means the inner lp jacket should have headhunter artwork so always ask the seller about that if interested in THE VERY FIRST JULY 1971 UK RELEASE of this record............
