I'm trying to buy it several time this record but everytime there was something wrong. Someone has this copy with the same sticker of the discogs pictures (same volume, same two codes), same vinyl (with no large printed ring), same matrix runouts?

Which release only has "Massive" written over the text under on the cover, the "Attack" is missing from it..
-
A seminal album - ground breaking at the time of release. I when I first listened to it, and I can't count how many times I must have rewound the tape to listen to "Unfinished Sympathy". The album may not have aged quite as well as some of their later work but those who were around at the time how fresh it sounded and it has to be on any list of greatest albums of all time.
-
Interesting related fact from Wiki;
The Mahavishnu Orchestra have also been sampled in contemporary music, most notably by Massive Attack on their track "Unfinished Sympathy", which sampled "Planetary Citizen", resulting in the band's being sued by Ralphe Armstrong, who received a healthy out-of-court settlement.[1] "You Know, You Know" was sampled in Massive Attack's "One Love", Mos Def's "Kalifornia."

Edited 11 years agoOne of the most critically acclaimed and surprisingly successful innovation phenomena of the DANCE music.
Nowadays it seems rather pop than some experimental creation, but 1991, c'mon, acid house and rave open-airs were ruled the England, small Bristol put its name on UK's map as a capital of the epoch time for almost 10 years.
And of course, Unfinished Sympathy, the foundation stone of UK's music personally. -
Labels on vinyl say only "MASSIVE" this I recall at time of gulf war someone thought the full name insensitive. Cover features full name though. Nice pressing. Good sound.
-
A great collaberation of Massive Attacks moody sound with Shara Nelsons haunting vocal.....stand out track - 'Unfinished Symphany', a contender for the geatest dance track of all time.
-
in my eyes, another genre defining moment of '91. as the deep bass line from "safe from harm" begins the song, and the song is juggled from turntable to turntable, this was something totally different. a very unique album that sparked a new collective of dj's and musicians and how they worked.
