Edited 2 months agoAside from a little [ignorable] crackling in the first minutes of each side, this pressing is impeccable. After this record came out in the early 2000s, I listened to it a lot, but always considered it second string in their discography. Afterall, Daddy G (in particular), Mushroom and Tricky had nothing to do with it. It wasn’t “real” Massive Attack. A solo project of sorts, but close enough to the sound and mood to be released under the name. In the past 20+ years and a few MA shows here and there, I recognize today that this is core MA and stands up as a pillar in their relatively sparse discography. The music and engineering in this record by RDN is just insane. The mastering and lacquer cutting by Metropolis (Matt Colton, perhaps?) is varsity (except for the light crackle). Would love to know which plant presses this, though. It’s beautifully done. I got mine NM/VG+ for €180 out the door and I’m comfortable with that. I refused opportunities before that to pay more. (Subjective decision) But it is awesome and I’m so glad it’s in my collection.

I can't afford 200euros for a 3LP. Would love to own this masterpiece though. Maybe a repress... one day.

I own this version since day one, it's a wonderful release, it ticks all the boxes, the LP set, the innersleeves, the trifold, even the quality of the paper is exemplary!!! As for the sound, it's fantastic, also given the nature of the music, it's an album to own it!!!!!

Edited 11 months agoFinally got my hand on this masterpiece yesterday. Near Mint, everything at 100.
This was/and has been one of my holy grails in my collection.
It sounds amazing, 10x better on vinyl I have to say. And still, it's album (Robert's and co's) production are next nevel!.
1000% masterpiece and one to own. Thank you MA. <3
I paid a fair price, but it was so much, so much worth it. I can sleep relaxed now.

Edited one year agoWhat a pressing... the sound is absolutely impressive. 3 vinyls engraved at 45RPM with deep bass, dynamic without background noise. Suitable with this kind of downtempo trip hop mood. A great experience to do.
