Does anyone else have a pressing with BL 33795-1BE on the B side? As far as I can tell, it would be this pressing, bc other pressings that have PAL 33795-1AJ on the A side have other notes on the runout but these are the only cat numbers/etchings on my copy. Otherwise, I don't know how I would know which pressing I own.

A true musical masterpiece of our current epoch. Springsteen and The E Street Band are firing on all cylinders on every song. I caught Bruce on the last tour with Clarence Clemmons and Clemmons blew the solo to Jungleland note perfect. He died several months later. That night they put on a 3 + hour show, with Bruce taking audience suggestions and then muddling through them; many they had not played together EVER yet to the untrained ear one would have never known (well, okay there were a few that they straight up didn't know what to do with) but it's just a testament to the excellence of Bruce and the band.

Does anyone know if there is a pressing existing that has "anna" on both sides (A and B)? If I understand correctly there are 2 versions with "anna" (listed here that is) but both have "anna" on one side only. Or: Does it even matter? Is it "enough" to have "anna" on one side => Does the other side sound as good?

Edited 4 years agoThe elusive "Anna" cut of Born to Run - though I haven't listened to all of the early pressings and so I'm no authority, this one is said to be the only (early) version of this classic album that sounds as though it were recorded & mastered by someone who actually knew what they were doing. A google search will reveal several discussions of this version. My own take is that it sounds light-years better than any other version I've heard, with the exception of the Classic Records, and to that end they sound different but this one is *almost* on-par with the Classic. Get this one.

I came here for the title track, I ended up amazed that the entire A side kept the E Street Band on their toes to keep up with the energy of the lead single. "Backstreets" is a great standout in this LP other than "Born To Run", since it is a great song to reminisce to, but the remainder of the LP flows cohesively as one of the most beautiful records to grace my ears thanks to the E Street Bands handling of their respective instruments, whilst Springsteen's rugged crooning (that after hearing this, I can finally see who Lady GAGA was listening to as she solidified her own style) envelope's the backing tracks, nestling perhaps not only one of the greatest songs of all time, but perhaps one of the greatest LPs of all time as well.
