American recording studio located in Midtown Manhattan, New York. The studio was co-founded by Patti Smith Group - Easter.
The Record Plant was the first studio designed to provide the musicians with a comfortable, casual environment for recording. Later, two more locations were opened, Record Plant Mobile Studio.
Later on in 1990. the historic studio had a resurgence and came back to life as Joe Brescio heading up the mastering facilities.
