Reviews
-
An absolute abortion of a pressing. It is completely unplayable, as the rest of the reviews here rightly state. Universal should have refunded EVERYONE. But what do they do? They fix it, and let us buy it again. At least now we can actually play and enjoy it (the remaster sounds fantastic). But it was still a grudge purchase. Someone at Universal needs to get fired.

ABBA Live at Wembley will be reissued on vinyl on 13 March 2020 via UMC/Polydor - half-speed mastered (by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios) so this should sound better. It comes with a code.
-
if this sounds so bad why do sellers expect anyone to pay these over-inflated prices anyone who pays £100+ for this vinyl is just plain stupid or a millionaire
-
Horribly mastered on the vinyl. The hi hat is all over the place. Unlistenable. Go for the CD version.
-
Wonderful cover but horrible sound. No dynamics and whispering sound of the Hi-Hats. Universal can't make records. To sell something is insolence.
-
Is there anyone who actually has a listenable copy of this 3LP vinyl set? Shouldn't Polar / Universal provide replacements for everyone? Any word on this? The cover and sleeve with all the pics are fine but the pressing is totally screwed up.
-
This cutting is the worst-sounding ABBA vinyl release I've ever heard...it was pressed by czech factory GZ and I suspect that they also did the cutting. It has horrible distortion noises on the hihats - unlistenable !!! I will sell my copy and listen to the CD version instead. I have no use for a vinyl release that will never be played again.
-
I've heard that this pressing should sound rather bad. I don't see any information on mastering - I'm beginning to fear that there was no proper vinyl-master for this. Does anybody have any further information? :)
