      What version do I have?

I can't find it on here. Mine sounds good and everything matches with this listing, except...

after the stamper T2 458-1 on each side it has on side 1 'AR' to the right and '1' on the left, and side 2 has 'RH' on the right and '1' on the left.

I can't find this version anywhere.

      Can anyone help?

Fuxscata For many years the only UK pressing I had and knew was the awful folded down duophonic one. About 2 years ago I bought another one. I was expecting this second vinyl to be as terrible in of sound as the first one, but It was not. The main difference I have found between the two 1966 UK pressings I own is that one of them suffers from a phasey sound, a weird and annoying slapback echo and a lack of bass. However, those problems do not appear in the other one which sounds great to me, as a real mono pressing. It seems there was a first pressing from a folded down duophonic (the most common version) and then it was re-pressed from the mono tapes. This idea matches my own experience and that of some others. I do not have an "official" confirmation to this "two-versions theory", only what I have found reading and talking about this issue with other collectors in forums and also what I have experienced myself.

Hi! To my knowledge, there were at least two different cuts of this album in the UK in 1966. I have been able to check that fact myself, I have two UK copies and one of them sounds amazing, no doubt is real mono, not a duophonic version folded down into mono.

Probably this is not made with RIAA curve.
If the phono equalizer is played with RIAA, the sound will be the lowest.
When played with FFRR curves and such, it amazing sounds.

*TERRIBLE* pressing. As has been mentioned, it's the Capitol Duophonic master folded back down into mono, but that mastering had already had the high and low end lopped off, so it's also muffled and weak. To cap it all it's not even a loud cut like most UK mid sixties EMI pressings are. I got mine for a quid and keep it in the racks as part of my Beach Boys collection, but the 70s Reprise release is the one I listen to. Really not worth spending 'collector' prices on unless you're a completist.

Nice to have a 1st press but not great sounding at all - go to analog productions instead

Picked up for £5, the price of a pint and a bag of crisps, and I'm very pleased. Yes it sounds a bit weird, but it's a weird album anyway and the dynamics are great, and even though my copy has many scratches, I'll be enjoying it. Also, this is the best breakup album ever IMO.

This UK pressing has the most horrible wonky and out of phase sound I never heard of this recording.

As I understand this is duophonic fake stereo version folded to mono.
