..it's a masterpiece! - you
can listen to those 12 tracks in 70 minutes as background music without
loosing the quality, but you can also give it a "serious listening" and you
hear always a different album. the complex music is always in a refreshing
flow... (january 2006)

Edited 4 years agoif you happen to think about it, what a conceptual mess it is to mix around actual jazz with hip hop, drill n bass, eerie film soundtrack, leftfield attitude and fucking bossa nova all through such a relentlessly gloomy but aggressive ride. i can understand why tobin chose to "move on" from these aesthetics -even though i dont buy his stuff past ISAM that much-; but its such an unique mess it's hard to ignore it. juvenile perhaps, but still strong after 22 years now.

This is definitely that type of album made for you to sit back in your favourite chair with some whisky and a big cigar.
