Bought it one year ago at a thrift store for one buck, good condition and it plays well. I'm quite lucky to have it for this cheap.

This could use the VMP treatment! Most of these past vinyl pressings have just been pretty meh.

A sort of spiritual sucessor to "Dr Octagon" Deltron 3030 sits itself as a nice little hip hopera of sorts, it stars Oakland based MC Del tha funkee Homosapien, who throughout the 90s released a slew of albums by himself and various labels telling a story of the lone sci-fi hero Deltron Z as he drifts throughout space rap battling adversaries and detailing stories of his travels, although not as weird or perverse as Keith by a long shot, Del's love for science fiction and comic books shine throughout this album, giving it a splendid narrative. as usual Automator comes up top trumps, whose production on this varies to sampling prog-rock to mariachi, and instead of Q-bert this time they have the turntable wizard Kid Koala on the s who generates this weird stutter effect to the way he scratches.

Although a very long album each track tells a story in itself, and the cameos are something very special too as we have what is to become the sound of the Gorillaz album (Blur vocalist Damon Albarn shows up on "Time keeps on slipping" with his melodica, which itself sounds like a proto version of Clint Eastwood) Sean Lennon drops in to a verse and usual DTA comporaries Prince Paul and Paul Barman provide skits.

so in sort, yes it is one of the best things Automator bought out just after octagonocologyst as this shows with the many represses and remasters. Its just a shame Event 2 although hyped as long-awaited could not capture the same fire this album had.

One of the, arguably, best hip hop albums of all time. One of those albums that can pull in die hard fans of other genre's of music, that never even listened to hip hop. It's that damn good!

In my opinion not as good as Dr. Octagon (purely for nostalgias sake) but one of the best Hip Hop albums that I’ve heard lyrics wise since Company Flow’s Funcrusher Plus. Even though Kid Koala’s scratch routine and oddball samplings are some of his best works it still doesn’t compare to Q-Bert’s work on Dr. Octagon. But don’t get me wrong this album is great. Del’s unmistakable voice and his even more unforgettable rhyme patterns make this album a sure buy for anyone wanting to get into the underground Hip Hop scene, though this is just scratching the surface. Another one of Deltron 3030’s great attributes is Dan the Automator’s choice in featured artist, second only to Handsome Boy Modeling School even though most of the artist appear on this album too. Who would have thought Sean Lennon and Del would have complement themselves so well? In conclusion this album has made classic status over the years with me and I think it will for many more years ahead.
