If Deltron Zero's voice sounds familiar, you probably recognize him as a prominent member of the Hieroglyphics crew, or from his work with Gorillaz. He usually goes by Del the Funky Homosapien, but has created a whole new persona for his exploration of the technologically advanced/magical future. Del started his career writing lyrics for his cousin Ice Cube's rap crew, and boy has he come a long way since his first album in 1991. His lyrics are complicated and intricate, and his delivery melodious and at times even poetic. He produced this album with the help of Kid Koala and Dan the Automator, the men behind Lovage. As for the featured artists, there is a good mix of famous (hold up, is that Sean fucking Lennon, John fucking Lennon's son?!) and unknown artists who signed on to be a part of this project.
This is a wacky album, and while you probably won't like all of the songs and skits these guys have come up with, a couple are guaranteed to stick with you. This is what hardcore psychedelic drugs are capable of producing; a crazy journey through a future full of evil corporations and giant mechanized robots. You're guaranteed one helluva ride.
