Edited 3 months agothis has been my reference GBYBR for years, and I have a variety of other pressings. I was lucky to find an unopened MOFI which I bought (for an obscene amount) because I thought I would never find another, and it wasn't probably ever going to be cheaper. That said, I like the MOFI better. It sounds bigger on my system, but it's not a huge difference. The Speakers Corner is still fantastic, and maybe it's the newness of the MOFI, but I'm just loving it. I'm now only keeping the MOFI and Speakers Corner, so about 5 other versions are about to go for sale.

Edited 6 months agoHas anyone had the chance to compare this Speakers Corner release to the MOFI release? This also looks like a single pocket for the two discs as opposed to being gatefold or trifold.

Edited one year agoI picked up a copy of this release recently on eBay Australia for the bargain price of AUS$49.99, I was very lucky.
I can attest to the other comments here regarding this pressing, it is easily the best I have heard so far and I've been listening to this album since 1974. So rich in the mids and bass (Dee Murrays bass sounds fabulous) and those harsh highs that grate on other pressings are beautifully rolled off. I can't compare to the MFSL as I've not heard it but this Speakers Corner pressing is top notch. -
It really is THAT good. ittedly I’ve not heard the UK first press or ‘78 pressing - both of which are apparently great too; but I’d recommend this to any EJ fan with a half-decent system and without a good copy of it already: regardless of the price tag, if at all possible…

This version sounds better than any version I’ve heard. Truly amazing sound quality, great quality vinyl and flat. I wish the jacket was true to the original but overall they did a great job with the printing. Highly recommend!
-
Of all the versions of this album, this is by far the best. I am including the SACDs - none of those compare to this pressing.
-
Too bad this is out of print. One of the best, if not the best, sounding pressings in my collection. Stunning!
-
This is THE pressing. It has incredible dynamic range and space on quiet vinyl. It is one of the best pressings of any album I've ever heard. Highly recommended!
