Edited 2 months agoGarbage. Too brash. Too bright. Loss of spatial definition. High end is crunchy, crispy and crap. I can't fathom how anyone thinks this is good. Listen to original against this and see for your self.

The first 2 sides of the vinyl sound incredible and really benefit from the 45 treatment. I really hope I can appreciate the illegal alien and other rather weak songs some more... Still one of my favourite band...

Impressive, beyond words. This record never sounded good on vinyl reissues. The CD has a decent but muffled sound. What Analog Productions did with this album is simply astonishing. I've never heard it like this before, with sounds that were there before, but weren't as evident or noticeable as they are now. The purity of the instruments, the separation, the soundstage. Thanks to Analog Productions for what they did with this album; when a record sounds like this, we forget the price we paid.

Edited 3 months agoYes this sounds great, flat vinyl and quiet grooves but....I have to raise the volume a lot, anybody else is experiencing that?

All of these Atlantic 75 records "sing" and so does this one. Every little detail I´m missing in other remasters or OG is included here. I wish they would never stop this 75 edition. Besides this, I never ever received one single record from this edition which was not flat and dead quiet. Excellent job Mr. Bellman & QRP. Maybe you guys can explain MFSL how to press superb records.

Edited 3 months agoSounds Absolutely Perfect, as all the Atlantic 75 records do. Bringing out just a little more detail than my mint OG by comparison. The biggest thing I notice is that Everything has more punch. I Love this album. One of my favorite 80’s albums. Highly recommended. There’s enough improvement to warrant the extra $, for sure. Special thanks to Acoustic Sounds for stepping away from old fogey jazz just enough to give us some definitive ROCK pressings

This is another successful reissue in the AP75 series. Some tracks are jaw dropping compared to the original US pressing while others are not as significant. Highly recommend it if you're a fan of this album like I am. A more casual listener is going to be happy with an original pressing that is easily available for little $$$.

I never considered this album to be “audiophile” because of the heavily compressed production but compared to my original ‘83 pressing this 45 RPM edition is about as good as the sound gets. More dynamic and a slightly better soundstage. As with all of the Atlantic 75 series, it’s impeccably pressed - flat and quiet. I love this album. I had it on cassette tape when I was 13 and played it to death. If it’s a favorite of yours, I highly recommend this pressing.
