DJ76's comments below are spot on - all the mixes are great but the 'Lamento' mix is the one! An absolute heavenly track and those keys will melt anyone's heart, pure joy, pure bliss, pure class! Back in the day (mid 90s) I used to order from their back catalogue directly from Strictly's London office based in Kensal Green. They really helped stock up my collection with some absolute classics including this one.

information taken from youtube comment - Not released until 94, but Frankie Knuckles was playing (ST Original Groove) during his residency at Sound Factory circa 1991.

The bassline is pretty similar and def inspired by MFSB - Mysteries Of The World

Hard Times, Huddersfield 1994 10pm. Empty dancefloor, pitched slow, smoke filled. Bliss.

SUPERB, one of the best house tracks of that time.

Absolutely gorgeous, just simply amazing track by Satoshie Tomiie. A house music orchestra performance is what this timeless, epic track is about... dancing the night away to beautiful pieces like this one is what it's all about. Hard beats, gentle melodies, soothing piano riffs, yet a hard-driving rhythmic groove. And all mixes are great, especially the Lamento mix. Ahhhhh, they don't make them this good these days! And those heavenly chimes make you wanna float in space.

I discovered it during a Dimitri From Paris' radio show in 93, it was truly impossible to find as he played the LEGEND MIX, the most known mix, ONE YEAR before the official release on Strictly Rhythm ! Thanks to Samy Dee...

I simply love this record. I first heard it on a live mix from Frankie Knuckles but couldn't identify it. Then, once it was identified, it took me a while to find a vinyl copy.
Satoshi Tomiie created this magic piano hook, and the slow to fast breakdown "à la" French Kiss works very well in clubs.
