Edited one year agoI've got a couple of the SDE atmos blu rays and this one is without a doubt the best one yet. Mr Kosten has done an excellent job ; the music comes from absolutely everywhere, all the surround speakers are actively involded in the experience. If you want to hear even more of Kosten's excellent job on this album, play the atmos mix of the instrumental versions.
PS : the bass guitar in the center speaker during Sex will blow you away !!

Listening to the Dolby Atmos version of Come Back and Stay, really some interesting choices in the mix. Claves sound like they are on the right side of me, backing vocals come from left side and right front, Paul's vocals really fill the room at the front, and the "whoos" at then end really fill the room with sound.

The stereo mixes are superbly mastered.
The 24/96 stereo of the original vinyl is clearer and must now be the definitive audiophile version of the original album.
The 24/192 stereo of the new 2024 mix is more detailed and pretty faithful to the original but it is different in places. Having said that I am more than happy to listen to either. -
