Six years ago, VMP released our fourth Hip-Hop Essentials Record of the Month: Main Source’s Breaking Atoms. Out of print for years, VMP made the definitive edition of the album, working closely with the band, and even throwing a reunion show–the group’s first in decades. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Hip-Hop, and this landmark album, it’s back in stock for a limited time.
No hype sticker on this release.
VMP's Senior Director of Music and Editorial Andrew Winistorfer also says of this release: "we had 500 copies in generic sleeves due to running out of art back in 2017(?). We made new jackets ... so it's not really a repress per se, but a jacket update"
