Notes
No samples, keyboards or synthesizers used in the making of this recording
Recorded at Sunbirth Studio
The band refers to themselves as “Guilty Parties” in the notes just as on subsequent releases.
Some versions have the full track list on the back of insert and some only list the first 3 songs.
Around 5,000 copies were sold at early RATM concerts.
An unused matchstick is taped to the front of every copy.
Note 1:
Atlantic Records “reissued” and distributed several thousand cassettes for free without the band’s permission, with different cover artwork (a distorted man’s face, in red or in white) and with Atlantic logo on the cassette.
Note 2:
Despite being a self-titled release with a similar tracklist as the subsequent debut album “Rage Against The Machine” from 1992, these are completely different recordings.
Was officially re-released in 2012 on CD as a part of Rage Against The Machine - Rage Against The Machine XX
