This pressing sounds unbelievably good with no defects in the pressing. Just ditch the paper sleeves immediately and dry brush the paper bits off the record and you're good to go. I used to listen to the 2000 D.C. pressing constantly back in my early years of record collecting and while that copy sounds good, this pressing just blows it away. Sound quality like this is why you collect records and the care they took in remastering the original tapes is phenomenal. The newly discovered extra tracks on side D are a real treat as well. My copy also came with the book. My only gripe is that the spindle hole on the first record is super tight and had to be carefully pried off the turntable, but that problem should resolve itself over time.

Edited 9 months agoI have to say that I was very surprised by the sound and mastering of this reissue. I used to have an original pressing and I know this album very well. The cam reissue succeeds where all others have failed, the sound retains this organic texture while being more defined and clearer. Bass definition is better than the OG, lot of texture and tight (not boomy at all). A fantastic job made by Cam Sugar Teams.
The bonus tracks on side D are really cool too, not filler.
Even if i had to spend a lot of money on an original copy, i still prefer this version
But there are some negatives points... First of all, the pressing. The first copy I bought from cam was very noisy, lot of crackles on all sides. They sent me back a new copy which was better ! But it definitely need a good cleaning.
Also, make sure you get ride of theses awful paper inner sleeves.
Last negative point : the price. GZ pressing plant is the cheapest record pressing plant in Europe, why selling this at 45 euros !!!??? -
Edited 9 months agoFYI: I have confirmed with Cam Sugar the black version does not include the booklet. Only the blue vinyl version. (Edit 9/2/24). My copy (purchased via Amazon in late 2023) did not have the book. The image on amazon does not show the book and Cam customer confirmed only the Blue version has the book. Not sure quite what's going on with the black version.

Edited one year agoThis pressing sounds truly stunning especially after a good cleaning. I was in such a rush to play it I thought I’d play it without cleaning it as I usually always clean before playing. The record really sounded beyond bad with lots of static. So I highly recommend cleaning the records or having it cleaned professionally if you don’t have a record cleaning machine. You won’t be disappointed buying this audiophile pressing.

This version is a full-blown audiophile upgrade from any previous version. The sound stage on this is mind-blowing.
