Notes
Matrix on A side is actually "BM849910-01". The first nine is lightly etched and partly interfer with the digit before. The second nine looks like it could have been mistakenly etched as a 4 at first, but the corrected into a 9.
On sleeve the track A1 misspells "In The Beginnning".

Edited one year agoReading the first sentence from Murderdog’s review on the album sounding “like an American high school record from 1975” is exactly why I could not wait to get a copy since it was first released in 2022. This Sault album sounds different from the rest of its catalogue, the engineering feels unfiltered, straight-from-the-source, delivering a powerful raw set of tracks, a combination of children rock choirs, guitar riffs, drums and bass. The pressing sounds much richer than the streaming version imo, zero surface noise. The inner sleeve is paper, had to replace it with an anti static. Highly recommend.

Edited one year agoI'm not sure of the merit of murderdog's review but at least I've now been introduced to Los Pop Tops

Edited 2 years agoSounds like an American high school record from 1975. This record is diluted to the uncut real stuff by Budos Band or Los Pop Tops. Skip the hype & go for the original stuff. If the overall vibe (packaging, fidelity) of this record wasn't so pretentious I would be more positive. Songs like "above the sky" suffer from musicians that ain't got chops & an engineer who doesn't understand heavy music.
