A musical journey that easily blurs the boundaries between sound and sensation. For me, it is considered a work of art and a perfect example of intelligent electronica of the 90s. Its multi-layered structure, pulsating beats and minimalistic vocal parts create a unique atmosphere that balances between dynamic club drive and hypnotic immersion. Each track is a separate world. "Atom Bomb" fascinates with its energy and experimental sound design, while "Squirt" and "Absurd" play with chaotic but precise rhythms, creating a sense of emotional tension. I gave a small example, but the album tells a story without words, where each sound is a touch to the overall picture of the album. Every note changes your perception of the world. This is music that is not just listened to, but experienced every second...

Edited 14 years agoFor some reason, I think that a lot of the best tunes on an album are not the ones that reviewers rant about, or the ones that are released as singles. Kitten Moon is the example here that slowly rolls by unnoticed like a hitman with a 100% success rate. Absurd and Atom Bomb are killer tunes, but I don't see them as being too interesting. Still, the mixing from song to song give the album synergy & in turn the album becomes an electronic modern concerto or symphony.

Sort of ambient, but bigbeat, breakbeat and jungly in places. But for something to chill to, this is the best in my collection. Absolutely sublime.
