Nothing more to add - all the rave reviews are legit and genuine. One of my favorite reissues in my collection. Love starting my day with this record before going to work.

Great issue of that album, artwork and mastering are of the highest order, especially the instrument seperation is stellar.
The vinyl pressing is also superb, even though I usually prefer UK/ Dutch or German pressings if available... Pallas still is my no.1 😉
Affordable musical greatness all in all. -
Edited 6 months agoI rarely feel inspired by many records to “review” them publicly but this one is so good I can’t help but share my experience with it. As others have mentioned, my record has a slight “wobble”/warp that made landing the stylus a bit tricky. Once the needle got seated in its grooves however, wow. I only had one other version to compare it with (not sure which one) and I am so glad that I got this one. I never understood what all the raves about this album were about, until now. Wow, wow, wow! If you can find a flat one, even better.

I love the glossy tip on style of this jacket more than words can describe. Pressing and quality are top notch.

If you want the best sounding pressing of this album at an affordable price, this is absolutely the way to go. Top-tier packaging and absolutely stunning, dynamic sound. UQHR probably sounds better, but with my budget, this one'll do just fine
-
The mastering was very good, but the pressing quality was not. Especially when considering this was done by QRP. This is probably the worst QRP pressing that I own. Slight wobble, crackles, some buzzing here and there, whooshing at times. Just really inconsistent, roughy 40-50% of this record.

Don't waste your money on the Analogue Productions UHQR. Buy this. I haven't heard that release but I did buy the UHQR Miles Davis "A Kind of Blue" and the crackles on that "High Quality" vinyl didn't impress me. Do the research however, apparently there are some UHQR that play perfectly.

I’ve listened to this album countless times and owned several different pressings. It is probably my all-time favorite album. I’ve never heard it sound this good. Dead silent vinyl, beautiful mastering. The packaging is also top-notch. Kudos to Acoustic Sounds for making an absolutely glorious pressing of this masterpiece at a reasonable price.

I couldn't pony up $150 for the UHQR, so this was my choice. Beautiful packaging and flat, quiet vinyl. As several others have said, Coltrane is very loud and very left! Enormous soundstage with the instruments clearly placed. This is my first copy of this record, so I am really enjoying getting to know this wild music!

Edited one year agoYes, pure bliss is the best way to describe it. Really great! My disc is wobbly (warped), not egregiously though. No other defects, audible or visual. Acoustic Sounds does it again.
