I finally bit. Pressing is flawless. No bg noise. Even the runouts are quiet. I don't know what people are hearing that don't like this. My PMC Fact 12's w/ Bryston 14b3 amp/bryston BR20 and Rega P8 make it sound fantastic. Yes, it does almost sound like a cd in that the background throughout is dead black quiet. The one very minor thing I noticed is that compared to my Mono pressings and the Archive pressing the bass may be just be a bit, a very little bit, quieter. Or it could be the bass is less 'muddy'. Anyway, a great press, and the stereo separation/soundstage is also a bit wider than other stereo versions I have. My take anyway. If you love the album and don't have a mono vinyl copy I highly recommend it. Totally different listen.

Wow, so happy to have this one in my collection. Sounds fantastic, with a really low noise floor and wide clear soundstage. This gets a lot of play on my system.

Just bought it. Sounds incredible. It is rich and it feels like there are new sounds added in the record. Love it

-
super clean low noise pressing- mix and master is only so so plus thats after playing it once through a few mont6hs ago and listening through 1/2 of side one a few months after. Might sound a little better as it goes on

It’s strange how good it sounds. To my ears it really drew attention to just how many recording tracks are stacked on top of one another in many of these songs. Certain things that I’ve never heard before can almost come off as distracting in the recordings here. It almost needs to be played loud or it lacks detail. I’m not sure if that is a half speed remaster thing or not, but it would make sense to me if it was. Last tracks, especially on side 2 are rather distorted.

This pressing is really beautiful and well balanced but maybe to clean for my ears - it sounds like a great cd on vinyl - the first uk press is much better with greater dynamics and life - however this pressing sounds better than some 70’s French pressings that I ve had - so it s a good choice if you can t have a uk first - but at that price, you really should try and get a first uk instead !
-
The music has an almost claustrophobic sound on this release. Weird descriptor I know but to my ears it sounds like everything was just squeezed into a nice and quiet but utterly sterile little package. There's no "oompfh" or real depth to the sound.
It would be a solid reissue if original pressings weren't cheap and abundant. -
Sublime album, goes without saying, but this pressing is anything but. Vinyl was quiet which was nice of them, but IGD plagues this pressing. The Back Seat Of My Car is rendered unlistenable by it. A good chunk of the Miles Showell records I own have these issues and are why I returned a couple copies of the Let It Be box. Get Kevin Gray, or hell, Sean Magee and I bet they’ll do a better job without the half speed bull than Miles would ever. Cover also feels cheap and looks it and rough paper inner sleeve is adding salt to this wound. Avoid and just stick with an original press, both plentiful and cheaper than this shite.

Uggggggghhhhh ... suckered AGAIN by an Abbey Rd "from original master tapes" -- actually digital production.
I read the wonderfulll reviews so I bit.
$45 delivered ... totally underwhelmed .. kept turning up the volume in an attempt to get some dynamic out of it ... anything.
Then I put on my original U.S. pressing --- BAMM!!
Damn ,,, fooled again
