Took me awhile to realize the “Avg Rating” above means something different to some. For me, it’s all about sound quality in that rating. I think Discogs needs to update their rating system to make it more clearly understood, rating this pressings sound quality a “1 star” is absurd.
This is obviously a digital recording but sounds very good on vinyl. 4.5 stars on SOUND QUALITY. -
This is a fantastic pressing. Had it up to 11 and really moved some air. Great balance of bottom and mids. -
As others have stated, a quality pressing. Flat and quiet, sounds great on my Oracle turntable. -
Edited 4 years agoFlat and quiet vinyl, with a very full and warm sound. My only complaint with this version, possibly every version, is the glossy sleeve it comes in, as it left some scuffs on the vinyl as I got it out. Nothing permanent (they all came off with a wet vacuum wash), but figured it should be mentioned. Awesome music (Money Shot my personal favorite track a the moment). The red vinyl pops visually, and if you can find a copy, pick it up asap!
*EDIT: The Glossy Sleeve also tends to give a fair amount of static to the record, so its highly recommended, pretty much required, that you get an anti static sleeve to store the record (I Personally use the Invest In Vinyl brand Rice Paper Master Sleeves, but any preferred brand should do the trick). -
I’m actually pretty impressed with this pressing. The sound is full and warm. Never harsh. Dynamics weren’t anything to get excited about but all in all it was pleasing to listen to and the vinyl is flat and quite. -
This pressing totally ROCKS!!! The highs are clear and the bass hits perfectly! I’m really glad it’s a STERLING pressing, that’s probably why it sounds so damn good! No issues with my copy.
