This remastered pressing is leagues ahead of the original pressing in mixing, instrument separation, depth and warmth. A brilliant, dead-silent pressing. Great packaging, beautiful clear vinyl.
-
Great sounding pressing and lovely clear vinyl, though one of my disks has a white 5mm bit of flotsam that spoils the look a little but plays fine/clean/quiet. Side D: as my son just said, "what, did they lose a bet?" - just long and tedious, particularly Magnificent. The remixes for U2 started at the point the group was running out of great B-sides - would have been better to have the alternate single version of No Line On The Horizon... I'll Go Crazy is better of two but lacks the energy of the live version this became.

Picked this up recently, my intro to the album. Right off the bat I must say this is one of the prettiest discs I’ve come across, really tasteful. Sound wise, I am satisfied with the dead silent pressing and clear instrument separation. Another quality U2 release for me, they’ve been knocking out all their 2018-2021 pressings out of the park.

Blown away by the sound of this pressing. Nothing compares to the way this record sounds. It is unbelievable!

I miss Soon from this double release.
Soon could be featured as extra song rather than the two techno versions on D side :( -

The above entry missed the lacquer cutter credits, SS. Lacquers were cut by Scot Sedillo at Bernie Grundman Mastering. He did a fabulous job.

Put it simply this way: I agree with racso 2099 and david_carter1969. This pressing is absolutely amazing. Until now "No Line On The Horizon" has been my least favourite album in U2´s back catalogue. Back in the day -2009 that is- I was very disappointed with the "muted" drum sound on this album. It made me wonder where´s all the power in performance and the production.
Ten years later I can finally appreciate this album, because the power of drums have been brought up in this wonderful new remaster. I can also hear more detailed nuances and depth in the music. This is the way "No Line On The Horizon" should have always meant to sound like. Better late than never...
My most humblest gratitude goes to The Edge, Scott Sedillo and Declan Gaffney: I can now fully appreciate the music on this album. My attention is now in the music, not in aural weaknesses which used to bother me in the version released ten years ago.
Of course there are people who love this album as it was originally released. And probably some of them raise their voices when they hear how the overall sound of the album has been changed. For the better I think. You can´t please everybody, but I´m certainly more than pleased with this release. Great job!
code is great addition too. The package looks wonderful, but what else could you expect if we keep in mind the original artwork of the 2009 release.
Looks like I´ve just got myself new favourite album...

Edited 6 years agoA fantastic pressing full of warmth and depth, every instrument is clear and i am discovering sounds I hadn't heard . The vinyl is clear as to be see through unlike some labelled as clear and is a wonderful package as a whole. Also a shame Redanka's superior mix of Magificent wasn't included instead of Pete Tongs rather lame mix.

Wow . The remaster in this press is absolutely amazing. Very clearly and you can notice separation between guitars and drums noticeably. I recommended a lot. I got the ultra clear Vinyl.
