Fantastic comp of the EPs oscillating fuzzed/phased/reverbed authentic melange of inventive ‘60s garage-psych-pop sounds full of grungy distorted guitars, growling vocals, poppy hooks & psychedelic scintillations.
Freaky & far out man!
[PS. Bradx below has a point - but what do you leave out?] -
The problem with this compilation is the groove-cramming. With 9 tracks a side the sound is really flat compared to the original 45s and a lot of the dynamics have been lost. My advice is try to get hold of the 45s, they sound a lot better and retain the excitement of the original productions. I believe Sundazed have just released a compilation of Electric Prunes singles - hopefully it sounds better than this.... they made a sequence of 45s that were amongst the best of the era.
