Just noticed on my promo gold stamp copy the label text is thicker on my promo vs my new old stock they are both done by the master Ludwig in the wax.All the text is a tad thinner on the non promo maybe its a later copy

My copy has the timing strip on the front cover. Also, the labels are reversed. Side One has side two label and Side Two has side one label. -
Ludwig strikes again, turn it up loud! Phenomenal sounding record. Another said "thunderous" and honestly is the best way to describe this.

Are all the 1980 Atlantic US pressings of this album using the RL master?? Or do you have to get this specific promo version to have his cut? I assume they all used the same plates from his cut? -
Edited 4 years agoI have probably heard the songs from Back in Black thousands of times on the radio, the tv, in sports arenas, and in movies and have owned numerous pressings, cassettes, and CDs of the album. Spinning this RL Masterdisk pressing was like listening to these songs for the very first time providing toe tapping, head nodding, and goose bumps...... It`s that good. -
Recently acquired a mint copy of this pressing. It sounds absolutely amazing! Has RL in the deadwax indicating it was mastered by Bob Ludwig.
