Stunner.
Mix is just killer. Dynamics are fantastic, crystal clear everything. I’d always considered Back in Black as their peak, but wow this record is just as good. -
Absolutely incredible all around. I honestly don't have a single thing to criticize about this release. Even the bass, which is usually buried in the mix on AC/DC albums, is nice and present.
I've been building a collection of RL presses over the years, and while I don't have the coveted Zeppelin II, I have quite a few of them. This one is in my top 3 alongside Rush's Moving Pictures and Rage Against the Machine's self-titled. This record is a reminder that, if you see RL in the deadwax, it's an instant buy.
Plus, I think this album is just as good as Back in Black. The Bon Scott era of AC/DC is special, and generally speaking I prefer their early stuff, but I think this and Back in Black were the band's peak songwriting albums. -
Beast of a pressing, big as a house … maybe bigger. As the neighborhoods gave me the horns as I brought the groceries in :)

After reading the comments I had high hopes for this particular pressing. After playing it, I was not disappointed. Fantastic sounding from start to finish.

This was the first album I bought for myself back when it was a new release. I've just about played this copy to death, but I still love it to this day.
-
Explosive sound, and excellent dynamics! This is *THE* pressing to get of this album. Quintessential hard rock! I highly recommend this to anyone.

Edited 5 years agoGot a copy of this original press from ebay and let me tell ya it fucking rocks wow. I also have the reissue and it is shit compared to this. If you love this album and have a chance to get this dont waste anytime buy this
-
I finally found a decent copy of this at my record store, and let me tell you it was worth the wait. The sound is HUGE! There's no compression here folks. Crank it up and enjoy.
-
This is like the #1 album old school producers use to audition an unfamiliar studio. Just got a NM copy and I can tell why! Incredible dynamics at a HUGE volume with no distortion.
