Released digitally on 20 January 2015 via iTunes and physically on 16 March 2015 on One Little Indian.
CD releases come in digisleeve, except the Ukrainian edition released in jewel case. Deluxe Edition CD and Vinyl come in a special packing with alternate acetate cover artwork. There are no extra tracks in any edition.
Although no official singles were released, there are some local promos of "Stonemilker" and "Lionsong" used to promote the album and a series of 12 remixes released individually.
On September 6th 2019, Vulnicura became the first music album to be released in Virtual Reality form via Steam.

Edited 3 months agoAfter reading a lot of underwhelming reviews about the black pressings I was able to buy this version for a good price and I'm happy to say my copy sounds really good. There's minimal surface noise and occasional light clicks that never get really distracting. Lovely separation and clear, punchy bass. And of course the color is beautiful -
Guessing the most pretty colored vinyl of Bjork. My fav Bjork’s album as well :)

Edited 6 months agoThis album sounds so great on cassette! I was kind of surprised to find this on cassette but I'm thrilled I picked it up. Listening to it reminds me of my trips to Iceland. -

Could anyone write something on this reissue?
Is it 45 rpm, is it louder than the 2015 edition, is it well centered? The 2015 press was a bit messy, poppy, low-level and off-centered -
It's cut very quiet so volume needs to be turned up a lot, which increases awareness of noise. Also the bass is boomy and saggy , though it may be like that on all formats. It definitely needs some EQ IMO.
How gorgeous an album is this though? And the packaging is incredible, that rare album I actually like to look at while listening. -
Anyone else order this and got the correct outer sleeves with correct barcode and everything but the vinyl inside was black? 😭😭 -
B side sounds the worst, most noticeable on Black Lake. It doesn’t really bother me but i find it a little disappointing -
