R.E.M. – New Adventures In Hi-Fi

Almost perfect sounding version (as most of the '90s production); a pleasure to listen to: recommended!

I just got a copy of this and mine also has distortion on some of the vocals on Electrolite, The music is fine. Nothing terrible but it is noticeable compared to the rest of the album which is excellent.

Mine came without a hype sticker on the cover - but everything else matches up. Is it still the same pressing as this listing?

Ladies and gentlemen, please pick this up before it goes out of print. Cut by Kevin Grey and sounds absolutely brilliant! The price of the grey marble vinyl of this version has gone through the roof and this one soon will so pick it up when it is 30 something bucks! Just brilliant!

Having lived with this since release, I find it more than a tad congested, two-dimensional, and harsh in places.

I assume this is baked into the way the band recorded, comped, and mixed the album - and Kevin Gray has done what can be done with the master (I assume, digital).

Sonically, I don't think this release is on par with earlier R.E.M. reissues.

This pressing sounds sublime and does justice to one of the band’s very best albums.

Fantastic record. Sounds absolutely amazingly. Reminds me of when I bought the CD on release day and listened it through over and over again. Lost opportunity to really make this a special item to own if they had done something nice with the sleeves rather than just plain plastic.

Stunning packaging comes with book with 13 pages of liner notes and another 35 or so pages of photos to include band with Patti Smith. Song lyrics among the 35 pages.

I can only echo everyone else - this is probably the fullest sounding record in my collection. Rich, deep, absolutely zero surface noise. There's nothing quite lilke a record with so much care put into it!

I was reluctant to buy this. Haven't really listened to R.E.M. in years and 40+€ was a bit hefty.

Last week I got it for 33€ and man was I mistaken. Even 45€ is a fair price.

The mixing is perfect nothings too far back or forward in your face. Master is well done.

The disc is silent and clean. Comes in poly inner sleeves.

The album itself is one of if not their best. I don't think it has a weak point but side 2 is the strongest imo.
