I prefer this version compared to the original. The remixes of The Exorcist on this version (in particular the Exorcised / Possessed mixes) are more involved, layered with nicer breakdowns, more emotive pads and melodies, better synth work and better basslines, and all-round less repetitive in my humble opinion.

In Hype's interview with DJ Ron on the London Something Podcast, Hype talks in great depth about how this tune came about and the trials and tribulations he had of promoting it initially. Very interesting watch/listen about a cracking bit of Hardcore/Jungle history https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vi1n1YYD3Pg -

Edited 4 years agoMy preferred mixes are on this one, although they're all good. Excellent sleeve art as well. One of my first full-price 12" purchases, & still treasured.

Very nice funky release which already set the tone what was to become breakbeat soon mixed with bleep sounds and some sound layers. One of DJ Hype's first productions!
