PJ Harvey – Let England Shake

10/10 album obviously, but oh my god this sounds so good

Is that Niney The Observer in the background on "Written On The Forehead"? I've listened to this album 500 times and this is the first time I've noticed, haha.

I'd say a perfect pressing on all s. A great album, too.

Really good sound and great record. Just annoyed that mine had water damaged label (was factory sealed). Not sure I can be bothered to return - bought in store at Fopp in London.
P.s. actually there’s some minor crackle a few seconds in B1, but apart from that my copy is sonically clean.

One of my favourite late-night albums to listen to and probably my favourite Poly Jean LP overall.

Incredible album I was not familiar with. Happy I bought this vinyl. It's a great pressing to my ears, and the price is right (around $22 everywhere). Some say this is the #1 best PH Harvey. I'd say if it's not #1, it's #2 (for me).

I really like the music. But the pressing is underwhelming and frankly, not that good. No dynamics, not soundstage, poor resolution in treble and bass. Should have much more impact than this.

Maybe the CD is better. Or maybe the CD master was used for this vinyl release? Missed opportunity, it seems. Are there better, more exciting versions that hold your attention?

My copy has alot of static on the first half of Words That Maketh Murder and a bit on the track after that. Used anti stat brush multiple times. Other than that it’s perfect. Will return to Amazon to see if replacement fixes the issue.

Mine copy came with no card and hype sticker.
