Kind of amazing to see this listing as the original contributor of it to discogs. I still have copy 2456 that I grabbed in 2001 or so on sale at tower records (ahh memories) for about $150. It's selling for insane amounts now lol

It's not just the regular CD booklet in a bigger size - it has a different layout with more content and is presented as a heavyweight hardcover book with a foldover sleeve. Gorgeous item!

A beautiful sounding, dead silent, flat series of discs.
Their catalog has never sounded so good!

Interesting information from Andy VanDette. I emailed him to ask about sources for this, and he was nice enough to reply. Hopefully he wouldn't mind this being out there. His reply copied below, unedited.

That was a long time ago, and I barely what I had for breakfast....
Tracks from Hello Nasty I assume came straight from the CD mastering. Other than that I do not .
I do waiting forever for the masters to be Licensed to Ill. We had an old CD around, so I touched it up with some EQ. It was only intended to be a placeholder-until we got the original masters, but I think the issues between the original label and the band made the label drag their heels sending the master. At the 11th hour, the master that arrived was the original CD master-not the original masters.... So my touched up version is what ended up in the compilation, since it had already been approved.
Maybe they have found the original masters since? who knows

I will alway be grateful to Adam Yauch for letting me work on their albums years before anyone else..
