This album is so good and this version sounds excellent. The packaging is also really nice. No complaints on this side. -

I don't know about this being overrated. I just listened to it for the first time and it sounds phenomenal. The bass really slaps. This isn't the most dynamic record out there (I ed a DR of 6 through a vinyl to digital transfer), BUT I think the compression contributes to how in your face it is. It just hits hard.
And maybe I got lucky but my pressing was relatively flat and almost noise free. -

Its good but overrated by some here. Honestly the MOV press is quieter of groove and sounds much as good as this. The packaging on the MOV is plenty good enough but yeah the VMP does take this one with the lovely gloss gatefold tip on (i had to fix the spine mind you!). Curiously they are the same price in the UK right now but the MOV is alot more limited. If i had it may way id take this VMP packing with the funky coloured and queiter MOV vinyl but i will keep both for now. Its kind of annoying have two reissues of something that hasnt been reissued properly for AGES and then neither one is truly definitive. Oh well, FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS AGAIN! -
Does anyone know what is the matrix runout number of this press? Is it the same metal used by VMP, cut by RKS?

I’m sure this one sounds decent as MOV’s typically do. But this is almost certainly digital whereas VMP’s is AAA. And VMP has a much better jacket. There’s really no comparison between the two IMO

For me the pressing beats the VMP but the packaging is not as good. Buy whichever matters to YOU more

I think the drums on this cut very well - and the bass is extremely tight - I have never an OG - but check out my full review on YouTube here: https://youtu.be/q7gw9NsjAi8 -

Phenomenal reissue. As others have noted, it is just a tad compressed in of high end and rather bass heavy. However, I think this a phenomenal reissue that competes evenly with an original pressing, and is a an absolute score around MSRP. -
Overall a really good job , sounds decent to me flat quiet vinyl not quite as loud or punchy as an original but hey £25 for this classic is a bargain , says ltd to 500 though not numbered , labels similar in appearance to 1998 reissue , plain inner sleeve not picture , blue vinyl looks ok if that’s your thing anyway a highly recommended release bag one while you can Think it’s getting another release from vinyl me please US next month aswell
