    http://discogs.versitio.com/artist/Sean+Magee

And for those who dares to touch this: Please just do the updates yourself. Leaving comments all over the place will never sort this out.

ok. jumped in too fast on this one while updating Abbey Road engineers.

    the "Sean Magee
seems to have had some early entries there as "Sean Magee",
    [r 39974], [r 80727]
    maybe this helps:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sean_mcghee
    http://www.myspace.com/seanmcgheesongs

i'll take a break from this one now, sorry for adding any further confusion.

Sean McGhee and Sean Magee are both Engineers based in London, it seems therefore they were merged initially.

see here a message from Sean McGhee (discogs breakingthewaves):
    http://discogs.versitio.com/history?artist=Sean%20Magee#latest
citation: "I am the Sean McGhee who is the songwriter, producer, mixer and programmer, and it seems like there's a fine old mess going on here! The Abbey Road Sean Magee is a different person with a different name who has not worked on any records that I have contributed to."

the releases at Sean McGhee belong to that exact guy,
moved the profile there now ..

many Sean McGhee releases need to be moved then ..

also finally fixed Sean Magee profiles ..

reverting my initial wrong comment on some of the 100 pendings was easy,
but how is one supposed to find the additional 66 C-voted ones nowadays .. ?

that's a complete desaster without any markup of "quality rating" on the artist pages ..

Left a few notes myself and changed a few that I edited couple weeks back.

Sorry guys, I'm so tired of these clean-up projects done by people only leaving comments. It almost always ends up in half-finished projects.

Kater_Murr has shown us how to do it in the Strauss-family clean-up: Do The Edits Yourself.

    No offence.

i know you have become displeased with others "only leaving comments" .. no offence taken,
especially as you were the one that initially moderated my first steps here,
thereby inviting me to stay, which i then did.

each that spends a lot of time on this site has likely
developed his own style of moving around and contributing,
and should not be prone to having to justify any of this, imho.

if there are 100 pendings on a profile with multiple mixed up artists,
i go through all these, leaving appropriate hints on the relevant problem,
sometimes finding more mistakes in the subs, i comment on those too.

    additionally, as of recently,
i'd have to open 166 individual release pages for subs possibly wrong on that page
to also find the mistakes in already C voted ones too. - and i even do that.

for whatever it's worth, i daily do loads of cross-related profile updates (to facilitate checking subs later),
research missing pics, check incoming subs,
re- some of my 4000 saved subs, moderate new s, post to the forums,
vote on updates i requested, and on other s i regulary check, and whatnot else ..

in the time it takes me to edit a single mistake on a, maybe complex, sub i have no clue about,
thereby needing to check all relevant links, typos, dupes, missing artist profiles, whatever else one needs to do when being serious about a submission,
i can add a lot more data or info to the site if i simply do stuff the way i'm used to doing it.

as this is a site with myriad mistakes,
i have found a "system", constantly augmented & enhanced by various possible events,
to move about trying to help out in a way i feel comfortable with.

And I highly value and respect your efforts to increase the quality of this database. Absolutely. Let there be no doubt about that :-)

I just feel that improving subs with clear-cut mistakes in them (by editing them) is better than leaving comments. Thats all. Others might disagree of course.

(BTW: if anyone is afraid of 'taking responsibility' on other s subs; don't be. I have done this with hundreds of subs the pasts months: the wrong C&C votes outweights the wrong NMiC votes :-) )
