Can you take credits from the lyrics?

I'm just about to make some edits to Pure Dynamite and noticed the 'Scratches [Uncredited]' credit. However, after playing the track 'Axe Maniac' (which is about the DJ), the MC continually refers to Godfather D and asks him to scratch etc.

"Godfather, show 'em how you run 'em up'.

Can this be transferred into a legitimate source for a credit?

And for future reference, I guess you could also bring printed lyrics and other credits into this argument.

Just make sure to add to the release notes something like "Some artist credits identified by listening."

Sounds valid for me, unless the lyrics are'nt lying.
There might be joke lyrics...
Many live recordings contain "xxx on the Drums, and on the Bass XXX....", usefull stuff.
