Very recently ed Discogs to take advantage of the Marketplace. When reaching out to sellers, I am often getting a "You're doing that too quickly" message and it won't send the message.
The first time it happened, I was sending out messages to maybe 5 or 6 sellers, but, certainly not "too quickly". I thought maybe sending multiple messages triggered the message, which seemed ridiculous, but, OK.
The next time it happened, I switched from Chrome (where no CAPCHA puzzle came up) to Microsoft Edge (where a CAPCHA puzzle did come up) and that worked, using Edge instead of Chrome.
But, now, I just tried to send a single message using Edge, after filling out the CAPCHA, and I'm still getting the "You're doing that too quickly" message even though I'm typing out ONE message at a very normal speed AND filling out the CAPCHA.
Is this a known issue? Because it's frustrating beyond belief and is making it ridiculously difficult to make purchases if sending messages only works half of the time.
I imagine it's an anti-spamming feature. There's a lot of spamming going on by PM at the moment, including phishing scams.
If you're sending the same message to a number of people in a short space of time, it's probably identifying that as spam, even if in your case it might not be.
It's happening to me as I reach out to dealers with a question about an LP in their inventory. Very frustrating as I'm searching for a particular pressing and now I can't even reach out to dealers.

Same thing happened to me. I prewrote a message asking about a certain release, and sent it out to all the people listed as having it, but after a while it started saying "You're Doing That Too Quickly" and wouldn't let me send anything. I shrugged this off and went about my day, but later I tried to message someone about another release (this was at least an hour later), and it said the same thing.
