Kiss – Double Platinum

Nice idea, but the picture discs are not really "eyecatcher".

Great sounding pressing! Always wondered why Shout It Out Loud was left off? I would have replaced Do You Love Me with it, and included the live version of RARAN from Alive! instead of the studio version.

I have a copy that has different information in the runouts and no misprint on the Side 3 label. The runout detail are identical to this release https://discogs.versitio.com/release/9843019-Kiss-Double-Platinum, except that there is an additional ① in the Side 1 runout details. I would like to add this information as a variation.

Here we have a really nice 2LP Kiss compilation from 1978, just before Dynasty album and sounds great. This Sweedish pressing sounds fresh, punchy, airy and crisp. I love the way it sounds, and I am sure they used really good master tapes here.

Not every Record isn't misprint, mine is correct, displaying 100,000 Years!

My copy has Rock Bottom intro between Detroit Rock City and She, not as the first track on side C.

From '78, here is a compilation of KISS' best known songs, from KISS [self-titled] through Destroyer. If you have never heard of KISS, this might be a good entree to understand their first 4 years of output.

The overall sound is good, with nearly every song remixed to sound cleaner(ex "Strutter", "Beth", "Hard Luck", "Firehouse", "...Dr Love", etc.). They did a good job here, as many of these versions sound better than the studio originals, except for "Detroit Rock City".

I purchased this very copy in '78, using my monthly allowance. I think I paid the $12.98 list price at that time.

Some of these come with white spots in the silver of the sleeve. As some of these white spots are printed over with the normal red text, it seems to be an error in the printing process.

This is my favorite of the many compilations of KISS songs. I love listening to it.
