Unless stated otherwise, all records for sale are only graded visually. That said, I will usually make an effort to play grade condition-y records. This will be noted in the description.

I grade conservatively. I will never use M for an opened record, and never for any jacket. NM is a grade I rarely use. That said, NM is going to be more or less flawless. As a buyer also, there's nothing I despise more than overgrading.

Visually grading tapes is problematic. A nice looking tape isn't guaranteed to play well. Because of this, all tapes for sale have been played.

Policy on sealed items is as follows: While I'll make every effort to note issues such as tight shrink or bowing of cover, I cannot guarantee that a sealed vintage record or tape is in perfect or even playable condition. I cannot take returns once a sealed item has been opened, as much of said item's value rests in its being sealed. If it's not opened, and a flaw or issue that you feel I missed is evident, please me and we'll work out a return/refund.
