Edited 10 months agoBought this on release in 94 and preferred Goldies track at the time but all these years later I honestly can’t choose between them. Both amazing tracks and glad I’ve had the pleasure of listening to them since the beginning of 94. Maybe Rufige track :just edges it tho.

Edited 8 months agoFits well with any deeper more mature 93 darkside. Mix with : Nut-E-1 - Liquid Affray, The Full SP - S-Capaid, DJ Monita & DJ Monk - Journey of Discovery, The Rood Project - Thunder. You get the jist. Some rare tunes touch on elements more emotional and not conventionally enjoyable. More deep and profound. Gun Star Hero contrasts the fury beautifully with an uplift that is also not the conventional approach. This sound is not 'happy' it is the sound of peace and serenity.

Edited 3 years agothe sounds on the current videos doesn't do these tracks justice. they are both belters with depth and feeling but the clips are flat.
don't let that put you off!!! noticed similar issue on other 2 in 1 pages.
fury is my preference here - something dark and menacing is toying with something good that know's it's in trouble. the strings sound like a cry for help from the clutches of the darkness but knows it is doomed anyway.
gun star hero is all niceness with some decent drum patterns.
happy to play both sides. -
I don't get the love for Fury. To my ears, it goes nowhere and is really scattered. Cloud9/Nookie has the better track here.

Mixed opinions on "fury" I see, for me it's dark and angry, yet the strings are haunting and beautiful......amazing track, never really gave the cloud nine one much attention , I'll dig it out and give it a listen.......anyway, well worth your pennies.

Cloud nine wins this battle... quality record, nice amen break with a punchy beat and classic nookie strings and piano

Fury. Oh my god. I've got all 9 releases on the 2 on 1 series, and Fury is my favourite by far. If ever a track deserves its title its this one. Goldie was angry when he produced this track. Really angry. Top drawer tune and still in my all time top ten.
